The Optris Xi 640 LT USB is a high-resolution thermal camera built for precise temperature monitoring in industrial environments. It works in the long-wave infrared spectrum and measures temperatures from –20 °C to 900 °C. The detector records thermal images at 640 × 480 pixels with a frame rate of 32 Hz. Moreover, a motorized focus enables remote adjustment and ensures accurate surface readings, even in hard-to-reach installations. In addition, the compact design, stainless steel housing, and IP67 protection keep the device reliable in tough conditions. As a result, multiple mounting and cable options simplify installation in many different setups.

Description

The Optris Xi 640 LT USB is a high-resolution thermal camera built for precise temperature monitoring in industrial environments. It works in the long-wave infrared spectrum and measures temperatures from –20 °C to 900 °C. The detector records thermal images at 640 × 480 pixels with a frame rate of 32 Hz. Moreover, a motorized focus enables remote adjustment and ensures accurate surface readings, even in hard-to-reach installations. In addition, the compact design, stainless steel housing, and IP67 protection keep the device reliable in tough conditions. As a result, multiple mounting and cable options simplify installation in many different setups.

The Xi 640 LT USB of the compact line series uses an uncooled microbolometer detector. Consequently, the technology reduces costs and maintenance compared to cooled detectors or line scanners. It also integrates smoothly with industrial systems through analog and digital outputs as well as a configurable process interface for alarms, synchronization, and control. For added flexibility, developers can use available kits to build custom software solutions.

When combined with PIX Connect software, the Xi 640 LT USB gains advanced functions such as line scanning, image merging, and analysis tools for research and engineering. In particular, the software allows users to adjust focus, emissivity, and measurement areas, so temperature monitoring can be tailored to specific applications.

Additionally, a wide range of accessories extends the camera’s use in harsh environments. For example, water-cooled housings permit operation at ambient temperatures up to 250 °C, while air purge systems keep the lens clear of dust and fumes. Other options, including optical shutters, mounting brackets, and extended cables, ensure reliable performance in demanding setups.
